Yes, it’s a subjective (and by no means comprehensive) list. Hopefully you noticed that I gave Code Complete an “honorable mention.” I agree that it’s very valuable. But it’s also as dry as sandpaper. I gave the nod to The Pragmatic Programmer because you can breeze through it, no coffee required, and still learn a ton. But they’re both more than worth a read!
