Wow, very thorough. Our family was introduced to knitting from our kids, who went to a school where they still prize this sort of hands-on activity. I wonder if sometime you might write about what you see as the future of knitting — is it becoming increasingly marginalized by a world obsessed with electronics, or are there enough people bringing it back and keeping it current? Certainly the ability to make something new, from scratch, is a valuable skill to have.
