Wow, homeschooling definitely does not have quite the same stigma in my neighborhood. If anything, it raises eyebrows, not concerns, and it has its own networks, support systems, and coordinated activities. I’ve half-seriously considered homeschooling my own kids, but never have.

One homeschooling acquaintance that I respect remarked that public, private, or home school, it’s all an experiment. You try this school or that one, you put something in front of them you think they might like and engage with, etc., but you never really know until it’s all over what mistakes you’ve made and what successes you’ve had.

That said, I am wondering why homeschooling children weren’t welcome to play soccer!
