This is amusingly like finding a message in a bottle.
I came here because you clapped a story of mind (not a super popular one, or I might not have noticed) and your bio description caught my eye (the part about children, as I’m tiptoeing out of my usual home and into the world of writing for kids these days).
The psychology of following on Medium is bit bizarre. I think about half of my followers are simply people hoping for a follow back (apparently, if you follow someone with less than 1,000 followers this is a likely outcome, or so the social gurus say). Personally, I don’t automatically follow back, not because I don’t like whomever it is, but because it seems dishonest to commit to reading dozens of people’s work before I’ve seen any of it. (I think I’m in the minority there.) But I do check out what my clappers have written, when I get the chance!
