That’s a list!
I’ve encountered so many great (and not so great) books over the years with my kids. For some reason, the one that comes to mind right now is The Stone Lion (Margaret Wild), because all my kids loved it, despite being at different ages. It’s a deceptively deep fable about a stone lion that comes — briefly — to life (that you can read as an allegory if you like). Definitely a weighty story that they remember.
