Thanks for the article; I definitely want to give this a try! Although I’m commenting mainly to say that you needn’t toss out your steel-cut oats just yet— they go from time-consuming aggravation to complete convenience if you cook them in a rice cooker (the texture improves as well). I set the timer on my Zojirushi for perfect oats in the morning with no fuss.
