Obviously it's not a problem for people buying a computer right now. But it is a problem for many people who bought their computer a few years ago, which is why there's been so many news stories and so much hand-wringing in the tech press. Microsoft's solution ("buy a new CPU") is satisfactory for some, but it's a definite irritation when the reason for the change is not the CPU's performance, but its TPM.
