I’ve often marveled at how much time is wasted in traditional school with crowd control, transitioning from one activity to another, getting attention back after a distraction or interruption, and so on. It particularly stands out to me because my kids started their early grades in a Montessori school where students were often left to pursue their projects, without the need for continuous top-down control & coordination.

Thanks for this fascinating article.
