I’ve heard several people comment that the years of dramatic pay increases level off later in the life, but they don’t mind because they’re already well up the scale compared to those at the start of their careers. But I’m more familiar with the employer “really wanting you” when you’re young because you’re a) affordable and b) likely to stick around for a while. All bets are off if you’re a 10xer. 😉
