It's interesting how there's a parallel there. Today, most developers will eschew AI code assistance, but there's still a slow, steady (intergenerational?) creep toward tool-assisted development. In this are development is definitely not the same as it was 20 years ago, and it's interesting to speculate what the developers of 20-years-in-the-future will be doing. (That said, your criticisms of the current state of GitHub Copilot are spot-on.)
