It seems like common sense, right? Although I am not personally a believer, I do feel that God as described in Christianity wouldn’t insist on scoring people based on whether they supported him in words, nor would he be impressed by “believers” who were simply swayed by the argument that having faith will ensure them a spot in paradise. If human character is deeper than that — as surely it is — then so is the judgement of any creator. If our faith traditions forget this and focus on denigrating other religions, then they have lost their way.
