It looks like that pendulum is swinging back even without WebAssembly. We already have minimized and obfuscated JavaScript, giant code libraries, and rendering to a canvas element that completely bypasses the HTML DOM. These trends are all growing in popularity. Even though I can’t predict the future of Blazor, I am confident predicting the future web is going to be less open, more optimized, and closer to the old black box model of application development that we used years ago. (There’s some good in that, but plenty not to like about it, too.)
