It is hard! Most of my family members aren’t swayed, but I do have one relative who believes scientists have the cure for cancer but are withholding it to make money in some elaborate way, etc., etc. The big problem, I think, is that social media and YouTube make it possible for conspiracy-minded people to find a significant amount of content that reinforces and expands their ideas, so they become that much more “radicalized” and extreme.
