I would say that the anti-aging movement is more about fearing age than death, and the great irony is that it’s only once we age past a certain point that we suddenly believe it’s imperative to try to convince others that we are younger than we are. (Before that, we’re generally trying to seem older and more mature.) It’s a silly bit of theatre that convinces no one! But your thoughts about the reality and denial of death are well observed.
