I saw the same report you did (Credit Suisse) and I didn’t believe it then. Looking around, anecdotally, it seems that Amazon retains a really significant edge — and I say that as a person who spent much of his life in the Microsoft developer ecosystem. In my (limited) experience, companies that are already invested in Microsoft are likely to consider Azure, whereas AWS seems to be the first choice for everyone else. But that’s not to say I haven’t missed a shift that’s taking place.
