I remember watching a documentary about suicide on the Golden Gate bridge (“The Bridge”, controversial because of how the filmmakers lied to get permission to film the bridge). One of the very few people who have survived jumping off the Golden Gate bridge (by random fluke) described his reaction of instant regret and panic the moment after he jumped. It’s a dramatic story.

When follow-up studies are performed for people who have attempted suicide but survived, usually they find that the person is no longer attempting suicide. However, that doesn’t mean life is rosy — usually the person is still struggling through good and bad, just not choosing the same “solution”.

In any case, thanks for sharing your story and I wish you the best!
