I have never understood this logic. Even if you feel a parade is somehow unseemly/entitled/a waste of time/whatever why would you begrudge other people who want to do it? Does it really cost us so much in this world to be considerate to different groups of people when it literally does not affect one’s own life? It would be like a person with lactose intolerance complaining about someone else’s cheese-lover’s parade!

I do believe it’s just another polite way of concealing what they really think, which certainly isn’t worth repeating here.
