Great article! One thing that stands out to me is how we’re pushing these changes to the very youngest members of our society (kids), who may be even more vulnerable to social media feedback loops and changes in cognition. (I wrote about that here.)

Interestingly, I also recently read that researchers were having trouble replicating the “Google effect” study that shows the effect the internet has on our memory. The studies around this are so new (as are the digital devices themselves), that any conclusions we make are necessarily provisional and premature, which is one more reason to be cautious.
