Fun fact: pink was not always a girl’s color. In the 1800s, pink was often worn by boys (because it was a softer version of “masculine” red). Also, light blue was the choice for baby girls, because it was softer than red and had associations with the Virgin Mary. One more reason not to get tied up with gender binaries!
