Exactly. Microsoft is is being asked again and again if they're killing off WPF, and they respond with less than full enthusiasm ("as long as it has users, we'll keep maintaining it"). That said, I think WPF will live on in some form as a boutique Windows desktop technology, which is different than the abrupt and complete implosion we saw with Silverlight.
