Blazor is open source. I do agree that Microsoft’s reputation might hold it back a bit, especially the way that Blazor echoes some ASP.NET patterns. But you would think people would have worried more about TypeScript too, or imagined is as part of a Microsoft plot to kill JavaScript.

The most obvious difference between Blazor and TypeScript’s reception (other than time) is that TypeScript has been used to create some very well known applications, like VS Code. It’s too soon to tell if the same thing could happen with Blazor.
