All things being equal, the human body likes to keep some sort of equilibrium. Increasing or decreasing calories will eventually lead to gaining or losing weight, but not as mathematically as some people suggest. There are some fascinating studies on forced overeating and undereating that show that your body has a number of ways to compensate for calorie changes and you may need to go quite far beyond your regular calorie intake to change your weight. I’m planning to write on this topic in the future. Thanks for commenting!
